CSUS Planetarium Dome

Client: CO Architects, Sundt Construction, Radius Track*

In collaboration with the Architect we provided constructability design-assist for a multilayer dome structure and enclosure supporting a pre-purchased interior projection dome. During design assist, we defined three value driven structural dome strategies to be competitively bid during procurement. After the award we delivered design and engineering for the prefabricated curved light-gauge Trusses, framing and a double sheathed fire-rated exterior to receive titled Zinc Panel. We produced fabrication deliverables and issued field layout and kitted sequencing to streamline field installation.
