Constructability & Fabrication
Client: Martin Brothers
To streamline field labor on the curved direct-applied finish over drywall pavilion at Intuit Dome, Sixth Eye adapted automation workflows from prior projects to evaluate the cost of CNC pre-cut sheathing versus manual field cutting and the procurement of custom-bent metal control trim. This analysis quantified cost and time savings and validated a more efficient fabrication strategy, resulting in a measurable reduction to the procurement budget.
After confirming the approach, we developed the final sheathing layout directly within the 3D model and delivered CNC-ready cut files to streamline fabrication and installation. The coordinated sheathing aligned precisely with preassembled framing components, and we supplied 3D field coordinates to support live survey validation during installation of the uniquely configured support framing.
The pavilion enclosure wraps a tightly coordinated base structure and digital display network within the cavity, requiring exact dimensional control across multiple systems. This project demonstrates how a fully integrated digital workflow enables 100% prefabricated system layers to assemble accurately in the field, eliminating rework and maximizing installation efficiency.
